As the Year of the Snake approaches, the nascent scenery heralds the advent of spring. On the occasion of the New Year, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the Management Team of the company, I extend my New Year's greetings and sincere regards to all leaders at various levels, friends from all walks of life, clients, value chain partners, all staff and their families, as well as retired colleagues who have shown concern and support for the development of our company.
The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a crucial period for fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party. Throughout the year, we have measured our aspirations with resolute steps and marked our efforts with solid achievements, deeply advancing the implementation of the enterprise's "2035 Strategy" and the key tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan. These efforts have woven a robust resilience against adversities and gathered an unending momentum for steady progress.
In the year 2024, we will polish our beginnings in holding up the flag. Guided by Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and General Secretary Xi Jinping's "Four New" Important Instructions, we will thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, push forward the deepening of learning and education on Party discipline, and integrate comprehensively strict governance of the Party into the entire field of enterprise development, so as to safeguard the "two establishments" and achieve the "two safeguards" with practical actions. With practical actions, the company has defended the "two establishments" and achieved the "two safeguards". The company has won the second prize for excellent achievements in reform and innovation of organization work in the province and the honorary title of "Model Pioneer Unit of Clean State-owned Enterprises Construction", and the bottom of the party building has become more distinctive.
In 2024, we demonstrated resilience amidst adversity. Our product portfolio in niche markets continued to be refined, traditional energy product advantages expanded, and we actively seized opportunities in the new energy sector. Sales and market share of cargo trucks both grew, special-purpose vehicle share increased rapidly, and the penetration rate of new energy heavy-duty trucks in the market continued to rise. Hydrogen energy products were commercially operated in multiple regions, with sales ranking among the top tier in the industry. Following the national "Belt and Road" initiative, international market sales reached a new historical high. The company, with a brand value of 50.656 billion yuan, was once again listed on the "China's Top 500 Most Valuable Brands" ranking. It is anticipated that annual sales of various types of automobiles will reach 160,000 units, an increase of 0.63% year-on-year, effectively mitigating market fluctuations and maintaining a steady forward momentum.
In 2024, we cultivated new qualitative productive forces through adherence to principles and innovation. We systematically advanced 33 key technological breakthroughs, expedited the commercial application of intelligent driving technology, promoted the mass adoption of L2+ level systems, and achieved autonomous regular operations at L4 level. The sales of the Tractor-Trailer Integration 3.0 product continued to rise; the New Energy 2.0 product met the full spectrum of product needs and ranked in the industry's top tier for sales; the industry's first software-defined vehicle technology architecture under the "Tianyan" artificial intelligence brand was officially launched. SHACMAN heavy-duty trucks shined at the 2024 IAA, and our intelligent networking technology was awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
In 2024, we solidified our foundation through deepened reforms. We resolutely implemented the "Two Consistencies" requirements, systematically integrated policies from the enhanced action plan for deepening state-owned enterprise reforms, the "Double Hundred Actions," and the initiative to create world-class specialized leading enterprises. Our top-level design has been progressively refined and deepened, leading to continuous improvements in corporate governance and management levels. The "Iron Triangle" model has been further perfected, redefining the production-sales value chain, and fully integrating end-to-end data across the production and sales processes, enabling direct market-frontline responses. Shaanxi Dexin deeply explored customer needs, yielding abundant results in both internal and external market expansion, achieving both qualitative enhancement and reasonable quantitative growth. Hande Axle faced challenges head-on, surging ahead despite adverse conditions, with an expected annual production and sales of 800,000 axle assemblies, a 5% increase year-on-year, and was listed at 15.926 billion yuan in China's Top 500 Most Valuable Brands ranking. The coordinated development of various group sectors has reached a new level.
With dedication as our pen and the landscapes as our canvas, reflecting on the developmental journey of SHACMAN, we have, across more than half a century, surmounted numerous challenges and achieved the seemingly impossible, all driven by our original aspiration and mission to excel and serve the nation. Our progress stands as a vivid epitome of the development of China's automobile industry. These transformations and accomplishments are the result of the relentless efforts of every SHACMAN employee, step by step, year by year. Continuously study Xi Jinping's Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on inspections of SHACMAN, deeply implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, be guided by the spirit of the important instructions of the "Four New", take the high-quality work of party building as the lead, and promote the inspection and rectification as a path, and provide a strong ideological and theoretical guarantee for the development of the enterprise with a reform spirit.
In the new year, we must enhance quality and efficiency to drive new growth. We will accurately seize the opportunities presented by counter-cyclical adjustments, more robust macroeconomic policies, and structural opportunities while effectively guarding against cyclical risks. Guided by customer needs, we aim to create high-end products that lead the industry, continuously shaping core value "selling points." By leveraging the strengths of resources across the entire industrial chain, we will persistently enhance the differentiated competitive advantages of our products. We will coordinate internal and external resources to accelerate the expansion of international markets, continuously improve the global network coverage, and solidify our position in the industry's top tier through optimized product portfolios, innovative business models, and rapid iterations.
In the new year, we must gather the strength to move forward with innovation. Concentrating on "demand research, product and technology planning, applied technology research, platform and model development, annual model development, and order-based model development," we will, centering around "high-end, intelligent, and green" development, achieve comprehensive enhancement by addressing weaknesses and strengthening strengths. This will empower and upgrade our capabilities. Focusing on the integration of the "dual chains," we will persist with "co-design, co-verification, co-tackling, and co-development," innovatively establishing joint entities. We will further consolidate resources from research and development, upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and related ecosystems. Relying on multiple specific directions such as new energy, intelligent networking, and new materials, we will promote the precise alignment of the innovation chain with the industrial chain. We will ensure product and technology reserves, continuously unleash the momentum for innovative development, and lead the layout of new productive forces with scientific and technological innovation.
In the new year, we must boldly set the standard for high-quality development. Actively integrate into the national development framework, uphold the commitment to long-term value, continue to enhance the layout of long-term strategies, accelerate the cultivation of new industries, and address the challenges of "rat race" within the industry with long-term solutions, thereby tackling the issues of high-quality development. We will prioritize deepening reforms as the primary task for development, incorporate modern enterprise systems into every aspect of the reform process, thoroughly implement the new development concepts, and stimulate enterprise vitality through institutional and mechanism innovations. Implementing the "Double Efficiency" improvement project, we will take the lead and shoulder heavy responsibilities, ensuring the high-quality completion of the deepened reform action for state-owned enterprises, and become a main force in advancing the practice of modern Chinese development in Shaanxi.
